Reset buddypress cache?

  • @tclayson

So I started building with buddypress and wordpress just to work it out, and now I want to go live with what I have, but I’ve put in a few “joke” names and such for people. I thought that it would be fine, when I go live I’ll just change the nicknames to the people’s real names, but apparently there’s some sort of caching going on which I can’t figure out.

How will I reset this so that people’s names (on activity streams and such) all reset to their current names. I don’t mind the caching at all – I’m guessing it helps! :p But all I want to do is remove all the current cache and re-cache it with the current names.

There’s no cache (only WordPress’) but the activity stream content is written once into the database. You’ll have to go into the database, bp_activities table, and make changes manually.
