Reset number of posts at top of a group

We just started a site and the number of posts is over 300 but in reality only like 5 or 10.
Does BP seed that number starting at 300?
Is it possible to reset it back to 0 or to some other number?

These are the forums for BuddyPress.
afaik, your question is about bbPress; their forums are here.
In the context of your screenshot, afaik, POSTS refers to forum posts.

I dont see any bbPress plugin on our site though. Is it embedded in BuddyPress?

No, but it is in BuddyBoss.
