Currently if I want to access a forum the URL is: site.com/forums/forum/forumname

I’d like to remove forum from the URL and change forums to forum. Is that possible? The new URL ideally would look like site.com/forum/forumname

The forums are set to sitewide. Also I initially created them via bbpress, which is still running. I am running WordPress multisite.

Figured it out it was the Forum Prefix that I had to uncheck.
