BuddyPress.org

PLEASE HELP: When I click “Activate” for the BuddyPress plugin, my WordPress Admin screen goes white. I am running WordPress 3.01, Twenty Ten is my active theme, Askimet is my only other plugin, I installed BuddyPress 1.2.5.2. This has happened twice. I first installed BuddyPress automatically, from WP Admin and then tried to activate the BP plugin. The screen went white and I lost access to my WordPress Admin. On my site, the BuddyPress navigation appeared as an unordered list of text links (all of which give me a “Not Found” error when I click on them). I then deleted all files in my site directory and restored the files and database from the backup I had (cautiously) made before the BP installation. I then manually downloaded the BP files and uploaded directly to my wp-content/plugins directory. When I again tried to activate the BP plugin, I got the same result as before. Now I still have no access to my WordPress Admin and have a non-functional BP site.
