Restrict add friend

Hi there,
I want to restrict add as friend option…I am having 2 types of users in my website..One is lawyer and the other is client…I want that lawyer can add only client as friend and not other lawyer..I don’t know much of coding so please tell me the code to apply…I found out that in bp-friend template.php filter is to be applied but I don’t know the code…Please help me its urgent..
