Restrict posting on group home tab to group admins and mods

    I have a site with buddypress groups and forums. I would like to reserve posting on the group home tab for announcements by mods and admins only. So normal members would have to post in the forum and not clutter the home tab up with frivolous garbage.

    I can’t see a native way to prevent this. I’m sure that I can’t be the only person who has seen this as an issue, so I was hoping that someone could help me out by pointing me to a solution.

    I was able to resolve this with a plugin called Buddypress Announce Group. I modified it slightly (wording it placed on the group home tab). But other than that, it works very well.
