Running buddypress on VPS with 15,000 vistors per day. Can it be done?
-
Hello. I’m not sure my question belongs on this section of the forum, but I could not find an appropriate one, so I’ll just ask away here.
My site averages 15k visitors per day and I want to install buddypress to give my readers a better way to communicate among themselves without having to rely on the comment system only.
I’ve been reading a lot on buddypress and one thing that I’m concerned for is that it uses lots of resources. I can’t afford a dedicated server, my site doesn’t bring in the kind of money that enables me to migrate to one. So my question is this, would it be possible to run buddypress with an existing wordpress blog that gets 15k visitors per day on a VPS?
Based on what I’ve read so far it’s probably a long shot, but I thought I’d ask the more experienced users. Thank you for your time.
