So help out on this one buddy press seem like a good fit since I took over a project in druphell that is hack job to say the least.

My Question

Can I customize the a search field for buddy press to search by location and time frame.

country

date – date

And pull results fitting the 2 main criteria and additional fields from a user for search results?

Can buddypress handle this?

I’m trolling for topics with no replies. You qualify. Things get lost here easily.

You can customize the search bar by follwing the fn chain that starts at bp_search_form() in /mu-plugins/bp-core/bp-core-templatetags.php which gets called from header.php
