I’m feeling really frustrated with Buddypress atm. There are some issues with BP that mean out of the box, it will cause problems with the search engines.

Example: We’ve just enabled groups, which members were thrilled with. But every single topic in a group forum has the same title. My developer says that topic title isn’t available anywhere when it generates the title tag, so we cannot even manually fix it, or so it seems right now.

We are likely going to end up with hundreds of thousands of threads and with all of them having duplicate titles, this is a problem.

At this point, I don’t know whether to quickly turn off groups and apologise to our members or hope that this is something that can be addressed.

Is this something that can even be fixed without editing core code? Or is it something BuddyPress developers will need to address?

I really hope we don’t have to turn groups off.
