BuddyPress.org

Before I embark on a BP project, I was thinking about planning the implementation first. The first thing that comes to mind is the server. Is shared hosting adequate initially or should one dive in for a dedicated server right away?

Naturally I have no idea the kind of traffic to expect but would like to think that it would be a very active site.

That said, I need some ideas on server scaling, etc.. I’m quite familiar with WordPress already but feel gun-shy about BP…
