set from multiblog to regular, now buddypress will not assign pages

Hey. I started out wanting to try buddypress-multiblog-true with my multisite.
It seemed to work okay. But then I realized I did not need this, so I changed back to regular buddypress.
Now, buddypress does not accept new ‘activate’ or ‘register’ pages, pages can assigned, but the page refreshes and resets back to ‘none’.
Buddypress 2.2.0. latest version of wordpress. http://www.intothemythica.com
desires are to have buddypress function normally from the main blog
* and * learn if buddypress (once it’s working on the main blog) can be transferred to a secondary blog (leaving the main site a landing page)However, if this is not possible, i’m more than happy with buddypress working. I have tried to remove wp_bp_xxxx (etc.) tables from the database, but this doesn’t seem to work either. Perhaps I have not removed all the tables, I thought I did.
