Setting CSS Classes with Profile Information

I’m wondering if there is an easy way to use a profile value universally in the site for setting body classes. I would like to restyle for a logged in user depending on the values they enter. So in education, a teacher would see one style and a student another.
I would also like to output classes on posts so that things are styled to match values from the profile.
Just so you know, I haven’t tried to do this yet. Just thought I ask and see if I could get pointed in the right direction.
