Setting user profile or blogs as a page

    Hi guys

    As a continuation on from my last post about setting up an advertising site, is there any way to set the user profiles as a normal wordpress page without comments (or set the users blog as a page) ?

    Also I want to make certain categories or groups (available on the sidebar) that users can put themselves into when they register.

    ok, ive sorted the page thing by just removing components and adding custom fields.

    Any help on the category thing?
