Shortening Urls for email notifications

Hi there,
I would like to ask if anyone can suggest me a plugin (or something) in order to shorten the URLs of buddy press email notifications.
As I use the Greek language the URLs sometimes are very ugly and I would to shorten them for the email notifications, using a service (e.g. google shortener).
