Sitewide Recent Posts with a key, such as Custom Field?

I’ve just recently installed WordPress MU and BuddyPress, and they are both quite awesome. I’m looking for a way to show X number of recent posts on the main page (from all blogs sitewide), but only if they contain a key such as a Custom Field or maybe even a certain tag. Any suggestions on how to do this or the best way I should go about getting this done? Maybe even help with it? (not likely, I know
