Soon to launch a Commercial Site – Best way to stop Spam Signups?

Hi guys,

I’m about to launch a commercial site soon which HAS to be as free from spam as possible.

There is a free membership and a premium membership so I just don’t want spam sign ups for the free memberships.

Can someone give me or point me to a comprehensive list of checks/ plugins to stop spam sign ups as completely as possible?

I have been fighting this issue for awhile. Last week, I found this plug in:

I’ve gone from dozens of spam subscribers a day to nothing over the last week. I hope this helps.

Do you put the capatcha only on the registration area or on other parts of your site as well?
