Sort member list by surname?

    Hello,

    Is there a way to sort the buddypress member list alphabetically by last name, rather than first name? If so, can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Yes! We would very much like that too! There should be a way to order the Members Directory alphabetically BY LAST NAME (NOT FIRST NAMES), while allowing the public Display Name for every user to be the person’s normal name – First Name, then Last Name.

    Can’t someone write a plugin to order the directory by another profile field (where you can fill in last names first), rather than by the first core display name field?
