subdomains for blogs

I\’ve added wild cards to the dns, modified the httpd.conf file but the only option users get when creating a blog is domain.com/userblog.

Do I need to manually change a template file in order to get userblog.domain.com to be the default option?

Thanks in advance, I\’m really stumped. I\’ve read andreas how to .pdf, matt\’s how to from 2003 and threads on mu wordpress forums. Wild cards work. httpd.conf modified. .htaccess configured.

I did not mean to triple post! Sorry guys!

Every time I’d submit the post I’d get an error message saying: “Topic not found”, so I’d back up and try again and again. Wasn’t trying to spam.

You pick either subdomains or subdirectories when you install wpmu. Clear your database and do it again.

Thank you very much, that did the trick.

Installing from Virtualmin doesn’t give that option. I never knew it existed!

Ah – that’s something to remember

I’m having the same problem, will clearing my database delete all the changes I’ve made and customizations towards BP already?

Whenever a user clicks their profile or blog after logging it, it will point them to myusername.domain.com – instead I want mydomain.com/username

    Thanks.
