Subscribe Button on Buddypress Profile

Is this possible to add Subscribe button on Each BuddyPress Member Profile of only Author Specific role so that any user can click and subscribe that member to get an email notification whenever author published a new article or new post.

Actually in my multivendor website in which there are many vendors registered & have a BuddyPress profile. I want a subscribe button for on every vendor BuddyPress profile so whenever vendor published his new product on his shop a mail will be sent to the subscribed user for that vendor only.

Maybe you should look at BuddyPress Follow?

yes, I already installed it but the problem is the person who is following is not getting email notification & also BuddyPress profile menu, no notification is showing after any post or product posted by the author. Is someone getting emails or notification working on their BuddyPress profile

Sounds like you need some extra integration that what follow already provides. I’ve not seen anything that does that off the shelf. How’s your coding skills?

Sorry it’s not something I know a great deal about right now, I plan to look more into Follow, but I’m busy with other things at the moment.

You can take a look at https://codex.buddypress.org/emails/custom-emails/ and https://codex.buddypress.org/developer/function-examples/bp_notifications_add_notification/. technically all you need is to trigger them from either the post save hook save_post or the follow creation hook, but putting this together is pretty complex, it’s not a first time project.
