Suggest a good Instant Messaging plugin

Hi all, can anyone suggest a decent IM plugin for buddypress? I have tried bp-chat and that doesn’t seem to work on my site, no idea why! I have gone with WordPress Chat from WPMU, but it is live chat and I really want an IM system where you can chat 1-2-1 with other users/friends.

I am happy to pay for a premium plugin if you can suggest one. Thanks.

Personally,

I find that http://www.cometchat.com/ is great.
http://www.arrowchat.com/ is a little better but has a few more constraints.
