BuddyPress.org

I am very confused with what i need in addition to buddypress.

I have installed wordpress
I have installed buddypress
I purchased a theme called salutations from themeforest

I WANT to implement a paid membership site where members can team up and share ideas, and incorporate mailchimp for email to contact registered members, and then I want to sell my merchandise that would be outside vendor.

So do I need to go get bbpress and membership forum plugins on top of buddypress? What are the limitations of buddypress? I don’t think I need a wordpress shopping cart if I go through 3rd party website.
