the number of members and blogs are not updating updating on page

I was running wordpress mu for about 2 years and have a little over 3,400 users and 1400 blogs. But when I installed buddy press it said I only had 1385 users on the members tab and 1309 blogs. I dk where those numbers came from but they are not changing when I get more members and blogs. Anyone know of any fixes for this?? I installed the fishbook theme btw.
