Using some themes with Buddypress appears to be almost faultless if @mercime‘s instructions are followed (see http://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/wordpress-to-buddypress-theme/)

However with a few themes (e.g. mantra, tpsunrise) there remains a tiny hiccup.

Clicking Newest Active or Popular in the Groups or Members Widget triggers a page refresh instead of in situ reorganization.

How can this be remedied ? Or even a link to a guide – would be great ?

Then those themes are disrupting BP’s Ajax functionality – why exactly is difficult to say it’s a little too generic to say a few themes there could be various reasons, troubleshooting what’s happening requires loading the theme and working that out, as for guides I doubt there is any thing that specific, someone will need to work out the issues, the fix then post that to the codex.
