There has been no recent site activity -Site Wide Activity Feed Empty

This is literally becoming a night mare!

I updated to the trunk release to fix my activity time stamp issue but it turns out I have many more issues upgrading then actually staying with the original version.

I reverted back and now my Site Wide Activity Feed won’t show anything.

When I go to the feed page it says Page not found

Any suggestions on how to get this working again?

  • You can’t upgrade to trunk and then downgrade since there are database changes. Are you doing this on a live site? I hope not.

You’re in a pickle now, your only option if you do not have a backup is to use the trunk and fix the issues.

When I uploaded the trunk files I never ran a database upgrade…

Does it run this database upgrade without me knowing?

No I do not have a back up.

Yes, it runs a database upgrade when you update the plugin, it has always done this since 0.1. If you didn’t back up then you’ll need to fix the problems you are having with trunk.

    Try installing this plugin:

Andy I didn’t “run an update plugin” I simply overwrite the existing files.

Does this mean I’m still running the older version?

Unless by plugin you mean files and it auto updates when you add the new files.

Also regaridng that plugin do you think that will allow me to use my existing theme or fix my current trunk issues?

I await your confirmation before proceeding any further.

    Thanks,

    Brian

Like Andy said, when you update the files and visit the admin of your site, then it will upgrade that database.

That plugin may or may not help you out depending on what exactly is broken on your site. In theory that plugin and BuddyPress 1.2-beta should enable your current BuddyPress 1.1-theme and most plugins to work as-is.

I got the site running the latest trunk version.

I lost out in 80 USD it seems for the custom template (maybe)

I’m having issues with the forums loading now. It’s saying page not found.
