Have deactivated an ancillary BP plugins, and deactivated and reactivated just Buddypress. No change, still receive “There was an error saving group details, please try again.”.

I cannot duplicate this issue [ but found something similar ].

Based on your screenshot – it looks like the ‘Who can invite others to this group?’ option on the right side does not have a radio button selected.

Try selecting one of them and then ‘Save Changes’.
    Post back with the results.

also – when you are creating a new group and you get to the second screen,
are there no options pre-selected for the section titled
‘Which members of this group are allowed to invite others?’
    ?

Going through plugin the deactivate – activate loop. Looks like the culprit is UberMenu2 Mega Menu version 2.4.0.3.

Still got some more testing to do. Will post back.

Yes … “who can invite” has no radio button set.

When it occurs … just see the error message … can’t get to the next screen.
