”This webpage has a redirect loop” error at last step of creating a group.
-
Standalone wordPress 3.4.1, newest bbpress and BuddyPress 1.6.2.
Godaddy.com linux server, the WordPress installed at /wp subfolder with AndyBlue theme. The site works fine with bbPress installed. I decided add BuddyPress since I want to give more control to Forum owners so only group members can see the posts on the Forums.
Get lastest BuddyPress. installed and activated without problem(Chosen BuddyPress Default theme). When trying to create a group, at the last step “Finish”, get “redirect loop” error. After that, if I type in url http://example.com/wp/groups/, it actually shows the group just created, but if I click on the group name, “redirect loop” again.
For instance, I created “test1” group, when I click “test1” in the groups page, monitoring the network traffic, I see http://example.com/wp/groups/test1 repeatedlly called, eventually error out.
This same things happened to trying to access /wp/memebers/ /wp/activities/ ….
The following is the message shown in a Chrome browser.
This webpage has a redirect loop
The webpage at http://exmple.com/wp/groups/test1/ has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.
