Threaded replies in BuddyPress forums? with default BP widget-theme

Hi:
I cannot find any plug-in or setting that would like me do nested replies to Topics in BuddyPress forums…the replies simply do not have a REPLY or COMMENT…and no plug-in on google or Add PlugIn claims to do it. Obscure old posts say that default BP theme 1.3 has threaded built-in but cannot find in the widget version supposedly built on top of the default BP theme?
