time limit on reply

Hi, I would like to be able to set a time limit on blogs, let me give you an example:
A admin posts a blog, the blog has a time limit attached to it, say 24 hours. If no one replies to the blog within the allocated 24 hours, the blog is then marked as ‘not intresting’ or something.
Im not asking anyone to do it for me, I just need a push in teh right directing.
Like what language to use and what to search for, (assosiated jargon and so on.)
Any help is appriciated,
