I want socialise choosing a driving school just as Tripadvisor did to hotels etc.

I have a database of driving instructors (aprox 45.000). Need to be able to search by town/city/post (zip)code, display a list of schools with ratings so of course, also need the ability for students to rate their school/instructor.

I envisage different levels of Driving school membership:-

a basic unclaimed listing

-a basic profile

– an enhanced profile [chargeable]

I am technical enough to be dangerous and reckon that this should be possible with Buddypress and WPMu – am I right?

Has anything like this been done?

Can I buy a theme plus dev support off of the shelf?
