Unable to bulk edit users

Hello,
I’m unable to bulk edit users – that is, change forum role, add them to a group. The changes won’t save, and then for example, when I go from page 1 to page 2, I get a 400 Bad Request error. I’ve literally spent hours on the phone with my client’s host, GoDaddy, and they say this is a known error and there is nothing they can do about it. Does anyone know anything about this error and what the heck I can do? Does it have anything to do with the number of users? (She has around 1400).

What is a ‘known error’?

400 Bad Request is a general error – not enough info to diagnose.

Turn on wp_debug.

Where exactly are you trying to bulk edit users?

Thanks @shanebp.
They mean on your end this is a known error or issue that is happening, I guess.
They did turn on wp_debug, and I have the error log, but I can’t really make heads or tails of it.
I am trying to bulk edit the users in the dashboard, in the user panel. What I’m trying to do is change forum roles (some don’t have any forum roles associated with them), and also trying to add them to a forum group there.

Unless they can point you to a reference about the ‘known error’, their comment is not very useful.

Trying to change user roles and user forum roles via .../wp-admin/users.php is not related to BP.
Can you change roles for one or two users?

1400 users is not that many.

I know, it’s very unhelpful.
I am able to change roles for one user, but no more than that at a time.
