URL slugs in language file?

Slugs for the URLs are now determined at the beginning of the bp-core.php file. If you want http://domain.com/members to be Dutch: http://domain.com/leden/, it has to be translated in the bp-core.php file. I now have to include a copy of bp-core.php for the URL slug translation in the translation package.
Why not read the value out of the translation file?
