User tips – teaching your users

    Hi all,

    How do you teach your users how to use your site?

    I would like to show context specific user tips in widgets, that disappears when a user clicks ‘OK, got it!’ like understanding cookie policy.

    For example, how the activity stream works, who can read forum topics and so on, how to find new friend connections..

    Do you know of a plugin for this purpose?

    I don’t think there’s a plugin for this, you’d really have to write something dedicated to your site, maybe a widget which detects the pages and offers context specific help.
