Users Editing More than One Profile

For WP sites catering for users who are parents and children, is it possible for a parent to edit more than one BP Extended Profile at the WP site front end, so that they can edit update their children’s profile accounts?
If so, how would one do this, since they should only be allowed to edit their own children’s accounts.
