Users selecting BuddyPress theme for their blog

I installed mu wordpress and buddypress – all with a problem

A user who creates a blog has the option to select either the default mu wordpress theme or there is the option to select the buddypress theme.

however when they select the buddypress theme the links no longer work – page not found

I am sorry if this has been answered I tried several post but could not find the answer

How do I fix this or remove the buddypress theme option?

    Thanks

    Gibby

You can disable themes under Site Admin -> Themes. It;s built in, no plugin.
