weird RSS widget behavior

disclaimer: I am not an rss inner workings expert, so this may be trivial

background: I have a prod site http://buglenotes.com and a dev site in a MAMP install on my home MacPro. Both setups mirror one another with a small, fake db in dev.

issue: as you can see on the prod site (as of 11am 1/12/09) middle column, 4th widget “Go Army Sports) which pulls in a simple rss2 feed is broken. It is pulling 5 items nicely on my dev instance. Everything else on the site is humming along and the feed had data yesterday. I have not touched the codebase in days

I dunno Mike. I have a test blog that runs the home theme. I created two rss widgets in a column and both seem to work fine. I’m using both of the rss urls you are using in those widgets. Only thing I can think of is that the 2nd widget has diff params that it’s trying to pull from the feed that the feed doesn’t support? What is it in that widget? ‘show content’, ‘show author’, ‘date’ something along those lines.

I configured the West Point feed to show 1 item and the Army Sports widget to show 5. Works over here in lovely Michigan.

I am 100% sure it’s something I corrupted along the way with my current build. After I pull out all my BP mods I will refresh the entire code base and I bet it goes away
