What Exactly Is BuddyPress? What Do I Get If I Install It?

    Hello,

    I was wondering what exactly is BuddyPress? Meaning,
    If I install it, exactly what features come with it?

    I assume it is a type of Membership plugin, but does it
    come loaded with any features of it’s own, or do we need
    to get “features” from the list of plugins?

    And, re: all those plugins… Do they require payments?

    Its not really a membership plugin. It turns your site into a social network where users can sign up get profiles, groups and discussion forums. There are many plugins that add additonal features.
