My current BP 1.0.3 setup allows members to use the native bbPress interface to post to forums. As a result there are a few topics that have been created outside of group forums (primarily in a catchall ‘help’ section). If I am understanding 1.1 correctly, it will not be possible for this to happen on 1.1, since all forums are linked to groups. I can live with this, since things like help goins could simply be moved into public groups. My question is about upgrading. What happens to group-independent forums/topics when upgrading? Are they lost? Do they become inaccessible? Should I assign them to a BP group forum before updating to prevent problems?
