What's the Difference Between the Two Plugins called BP Multi Network?

I’ve had BP Multi Network recommended to me, but there’s TWO plugins by that name- one made by Brajesh Singh at BuddyDev and another made by Rennick/Jocoby/Gorges on WordPress.org. Is there anyone that knows how they’re different? (i.e, Do they function differently? Is one updated more often? Does one have less compatibility issues?)

i think the difference is the buddydev one lets you have different user bases.
