bp is 1.0 release candidate 1 now. Out of beta and almost ready.
You can use any wp plugin you want now in the home theme. Any wp theme you want for your blogs including the wpmu root blog. The member theme is a little different. I don’t know of a timeline for that. You’d have to get an answer from Andy.
What the hell am I lookin’ at? When does this happen in the movie?
Now. You’re looking at now sir, everything that happens now is happening now.
What happened to then?
We passed it.
When?
Just now. We’re at now-now.
Go back to then.
When?
Now.
Now?
Now!
I can’t.
Why?
We missed it.
When?
Just now.
When will then be now?
…Soon.
Good old Spaceballs eh John!
Haha jeeaaah… I watched that movie 3 times a day, everyday when I was a young pup. Ha!
May the swartz be with you!!!
Burtadsit, I’m confused. Are you saying that WP plugins work in BuddyPress? If that is true then I just don’t see it. The Plugins link in the admin doesn’t show plugins. Where are these plugins viewable at or am I missing something?
FYI, I’ve tried these plugins in the plugins folder and the mu plugins folder and don’t see any admin for them.
I’m using Contact Form 7, WP-Ecommerce plugins.
I think that what Burt is saying is that by putting any plugin in the wp-content/plugins/ folder and activating it in the Admin -> Plugins area, that you are able to take advantage of what that plugin has to offer in any blog it is activated in.
Plugins *don’t* work in the member theme if that’s what you are looking for. What are you looking for?
