I am starting a pretty large showcase curating site. There is some specific functionality I will need and am wondering if it can be accomplished with BP.

So the main purpose of the site will be multiple “blogs/showcases”, such as Quilting Inspiration, Block Inspiration, Quilting Resources, and a classic blog. Their will be basic viewers and contributors.

Basic Viewer
-Create an Account
-Edit and Maintain their Profile for commenting (name, photo, username, password)
-Create Collections of Favorite Posts – So if they are browsing through quilt inspiration and like something they can click the like button and add it to a collection of theirs. They may have multiple collections, like favorite quilts, favorite quilt blocks, favorite tutorials, ex whatever they want.
-View their collections

A Contributor
-Manage their Directory Listing – There will be one directory, and you will be able to filter it by quilters, quilt organizations, quilt shops. You will be able to see a profile for each contributor including an image, about, link to their website, and a list of showcase items that are theirs. So they should be able to manage this profile.
-Contribute and Submit to the Showcase – This may very well be a form, because all contributions must be approved by me and posted by me.
-Access their information on Sponsoring – (probably using buysellads.com)

Other Functionality
-Posts will need a very robust tagging and category system, with also the ability to Filter through the tags and categories. So for example in the Quilting Inspiration Showcase there will be 2 categories Style and Type, and many tags inside those categories.
-Ability to show posts similar to the post. Related Items, based on related categories or tags.
-Possibly a way to bring in information and post it from tools like Zootool or Evernote

I am wondering how much of this is possible out of the box with BP, and which plugins you would suggest for specific things.
