WordPress users are Buddypress members?

Hi! This may be way too basic, but I’m a bit lost. After installing and setting up BuddyPress, shouldn’t the existing WordPress users on my site be BuddyPress members right away?
This website has dozens of users, but none of them are shown in “Members” page (besides me).
Am I supposed to make some kind of migration?

    Thanks a lot!

The next time the users log in, they will become active and only then will they appear in the members directory.

Unless you activate them yourself of course.

@henrywright, thank you so much! It wasn’t that obvious for me, but now I get it.
So, if I’d want to activate them, should I use a plugin?

    Thanks, once more!

Yes, you can use Boone’s plugin Unconfirmed to activate the users manually:

@henrywright I thank you a lot. Sorry for being such a drag.
Actually I tried the Unconfirmed plugin, but its panel shows “No unactivated members were found.”, while on the Buddypress members page (on frontend), I don’t see them showing up…

    Thank you very much!

Would unactivated members not appear as “Pending” in wp-admin/network/users.php and then you can activate or delete them from there ??

@valuser thank you so much! I suppose that’s a procedure that I could do in a multi-site installation, right? Well, this is a single site one.

I’ve not used the plugin myself so am not familiar with how exactly users are confirmed or unconfirmed. Try opening a topic on the plugin’s support forum asking this same question.

@henrywright Ok, I just did that, despite its low response rate (almost all of the topics don’t have an answer). I’ll manage it. Thank you so much!
