No kidding people. wow. I’ve been out of web developement for 7 yrs. Perl was the way to go for CGI back then. (anyone remember CGI?). I’m moving back into it now and just spent the last 2 months trying to catch up. I got to the point of integrating Drupal, WordPress and phpBB3 together (users/session mgmt). Decided to abandon 2 months of headaches and start with wp and a forum. I’d do the group and social stuff as custom.
The forum remained phpBB3. Decided to drop that ’cause it just scared users away. OK NOW WHAT FORUM. Found bbPress and the wp+bbpress integration capability. Lovely! A slim, user friendly forum and the best blog engine. Cool. Move to wpmu and in my browsing and carousing around the forums found BuddyPress.

God loves those who surf. Can’t tell ya people how lovely this stuff is and is gonna be. wpmu+bbpress+buddypress
