WP 3.1.3 and Buddypress

I’m having problems installing BP with my WP 3.1.3. Keep getting an error message

“The parent theme is missing. Please install the “bp-default” parent theme.”

I’m not sure what version of WP I was running before but my whole site had to be deleted and Im trying to recreate my site. Actually this is the third time and I need to probably do it from scratch as I tried to upload my back up files and got a 500 server error.

Can someone point me into the right direction? or is there someone I can pay to install?

As long as you haven’t edited the core BuddyPress files, you should be able to delete the BuddyPress plugin folder, and reinstall it. It comes with a copy of bp-default, which should clear your error.
