XSNP and how it may be useful to buddypress!

i no this sounds kinda crazy but i stumbled upon another set of plugins that intends to do the same thing as buddypress.. something called XSNP
they seem to be doing the same thing so i thought i’d post a link here so that you guys(devs i mean) take a look under that hood and borrow/collaborate with those guys or something? hmmm..
