Your currently active theme is not BuddyPress enabled

I’m new to BuddyPress and WordPress MU. I’ve installed the lastest versions of both WordPress MU and Buddypress. When istalling BuddyPress I got a message that said that the version of BuddyPress wasn’t compatibility tested for my version of WordPress MU. I don’t know if that is what causes my problem, but it didn’t affect the installation.

My problem is that i get the message “Your currently active theme is not BuddyPress enabled” even though both BuddyPress theme folders are at the right location and I have activated the “BuddyPress Default” in Site Admin -> Themes.

I have downloaded the other BuddyPress theme “Avenue K9” from the website the error message refers to, but it’s still the default WordPress theme showing on the blog.

Why hasn’t the theme changed on the site when I have changed it in Site Admin? How do I solve this problem?
