Youtube links add a " tag

For some reason when one of my users posts a youtube link in their status, it adds a
```
&quot;
```
How can I fix this? It’s becoming a major issue, because elsewhere on my site, I call upon a users status, and if they’ve posted a youtube link, the quotation is closing off a part of the code.
