zeus and buddypress and load balancing

we are using zeus traffic manager and attempted to load balance to mysql master and slaves with it …. didn’t work because its really setup for 2 separate database logins to operate ..one for writes and one for reads….. is there anyway to do this with buddypress / wordpress ? thanks and if not …. does anyone have a suggestion on using multiple mysql servers other than using hyperdb?
