Just a quick note to let everyone know that the Frisco theme is now available in the WordPress Theme Directory.

So you can now install the theme directly from your WordPress dashboard.

The theme is a basic child theme derived from bp-default 1.5. Once you activate the theme, there is a theme options page where you can choose a font and color for your site. Or, there are also options to use a custom.css stylesheet and functions-custom.php file for heavier customization.

I was using this theme and LOVING it…and then I upgraded to Buddypress 1.5.1 this morning, and I’m told that something’s broken.

Frisco for BuddyPress The parent theme is missing. Please install the “bp-default” parent theme.

But the parent theme appears to still be there; I’m really confused as to what’s going on. Any tips, coming from the creator of a great theme?

@davidtcarson bravo to your theme.. i am currently using it with a wp 3.2.1 and bp 1.5.. it’s practically working fine.. and i am very happy with it..

there’s just one thing.. i converted all “groups” into “companies” and with the bp-default theme menus each and every link is working.. but with the frisco sub-menu… (please refer to this page..http://www.entrepnegosyo.com/members/alphonse/companies/) you can see that, it is still saying “Groups” and not “Companies”.. i have been searching from within the bp-default theme and within our great theme.. but to no avail..

Any assistance to point me in the right direction would be most appreciated..

alphonse.tan, what is the slug/name of the page that you’ve assigned to the “Groups” component in wp-admin > BuddyPress > Components? Changing that should update menus etc

@djpaul thanks for the advice but it still didn’t change… tried searching in the database but still no result.. the main menu works fine it’s the submenu of the profile that’s not working.. please see the image.. http://www.entrepnegosyo.com/entrepnegosyo.gif
