forums gone after 3.0 upgrade (3 posts)

    Hello friends

    I just updated from single WP/BP to WP 3.0. My forums have gone away. I go under the forums tab and it says I can install a new one or asks if I already have one installed.

    Any thoughts on which button I should be pressing?

    All is backed up of course, but I don’t feel like messing around so I thought I would ask first.

    p.s. I also just updated to the latest BP. it fixed one other issue I had but not the forum one.

    I’ve usually used the “existing” forums button and that solved it. Not sure what the issue/solution was when I ran into that problem, as I did a bunch of things like clearing my cache, upgrading everything to the latest versions and activating/de-activating plugins and even updating permalinks — seems to be my usual SOP whenever I hit a wall, which ends up fixing whatever problem I have.

    Did you try going to wp-admin/admin.php?page=bb-forums-setup and reinstalling the forums. When I moved servers I had to reinstall and then they came back.
