Hey I am trying to do alot with BuddyPress, like removing the admin bar etc, and all the tutorials I see have to do with editing the bp-custom.php file. I couldnt find one in wp/content/plugins, so I made one with notepad and added the line :
define(‘BP_DISABLE_ADMIN_BAR’, true);

and when I loaded my site it went to a white screen that said the line then redirected it to the blog.

How can I get this working correctly?

Did you put the “ at the bottom of the file with no spaces (or anything else) before the first tag or after the last?

It would help if https://codex.buddypress.org/extending-buddypress/bp-custom-php/ mentioned this – as is done on the https://codex.buddypress.org/extending-buddypress/functions-php/ page….
